CLOSEST MAJOR AIRPORT
William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston is located approximately 27 miles north of Jack Brooks Park.

HOTELS
We have reserved a block of rooms at two area hotels, the Texas City Hampton Inn (409-986-6686) and the Texas City Fairfield Inn (409-986-3866) for $69 a night. About half the rooms are Doubles and the remainder are Kings, so if you want a Double reserve early. Reserve early. Most other hotel chains are also available in Texas City or La Marque.

DG ProShop/Birdshot $10,000 Hole-in-One Challenge

On March 31st DG ProShop & Birdshot are teaming up to bring you the biggest Ace prize to hit Texas Disc Golf, ever. Please join us for a pre-Texas States Party at Gulf Greyhound Park, just down the street from Jack Brooks Park on Thursday night. The party is open to anyone competing at Texas States and their families and friends.

Between the races 100 disc golfers will have the opportunity to throw for a $10,000 hole-in-one across the greyhound track pond. Entry into the DG ProShop/Birdshot $10,000 Hole-in-One Challenge will be limited to registered players at Texas States. We will have sign-up details available soon.

Eric McCabe Takes First in Open

Eric McCabe is your 2010 Texas State Champion. Here’s a slow motion movie of his drive on #16 West this afternoon. Eric took first place in the open division today shooting a combined 20 under par after sixty baskets were played. Congratulations Eric on the win.
